The first burn
During the first burn, allow the wax to melt across the entire surface of the candle (this can be up to 3-4 hours). This helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn in subsequent uses.
Trim your wick
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to approximately 5mm (use a wick trimmer, scissors or with your fingers). This helps prevent excessive flickering, soot, and uneven burning.
Burn-time
Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Excessive burn times can cause the container to overheat and may affect the overall quality of the candle. Discontinue use when the wax reaches 5mm from the bottom of your vessel.
Wax pool
Allow the wax pool to solidify before relighting the candle. This helps maintain an even burn and prevents the wick from becoming submerged in liquid wax.
Storing your candle
Store out of direct sunlight and high temperatures as the essential oils are sensitive to heat and light which may cause them to evaporate.Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable objects, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave your burning candle unattended.
Reuse, repurpose, recycle
Once you are finished with your candle, simply wash out any leftover wax with hot water and mild detergent (avoid using harsh scrubbers). Hand-wash only.
